Sardegna Vini e Cucina Della Regione

19th of April | 4PM

CHAPTER 3: Sardegna

Our journey throughout the Italian regions continues.

Despite being an island and famous for its extraordinary coastline, Sardegna has never been known for fishing. In fact, Its culinary heritage has developed primarily within the non-coastal  communities and most of the menu is an expression of it.
The legendary Porceddu (roasted suckling piglet), Pane Vrattau (Lasagne of Carasau bread with Poached egg),  Gnocchi di ricotta with Lamb Ragu’, Raviolone Fritto (filled with coppa & spinach), Fregula Sarda e Arselle (the iconic Sardinian pasta served with clams, mussels and prawns).

The wine selection is eclectic, diverse and It shows the potential of the different terroirs present in the island. The north west with mainly granite soil, the coastline with sandy/alluvial soils and the central mountainous region where elevation plays a crucial role in shaping the terroir.
The list includes some iconic producers and some others not imported in the UK yet:
Tenute Dettori, Panevino, Giovanni Montisci, Sedilesu, I Garagisti di Sorgono, Deperu Holler, Enrico Mereu and many others.
Tables are available from 4pm As usual bookings are essential.

24th of April | 4PM `

We are thrilled to have Marco Fay with us for an evening dedicated to Valtellina region (north Lombardy)  and its indigenous grape called Chiavennasca (Nebbiolo). Marco and his sister Elena, farm 15 hectares of vines placed across the terraced hillsides rising up to the Alps. The vineyards sit on different soils compositions, at different altitudes  and each parcel is purely expressed in each cuvee they make.
Their wines are pure, elegant and vibrant. One of the best expression of Nebbiolo in the region.
Marco will be pouring all his range, back vintages and big formats.

Tables are available from 4pm
